OOTD : monochrome layering

Hello there!! I'm back finally!
I've been super lazy these past days or shall I say the past two months :D. Thus, the laziness resulted to many OOTD post backlogs. It has been a while that I forgot if I've even save the photos of my previous ootd :( hence, let me share first the one I had yesterday.

I wore a black buttoned-down dress shirt and paired it with a faux leather short. I just love how the dress hid my bulging belly and made me look slimmer. To spice things up I layared two necklaces and completed the look with camouflage creepers. Even though the outfit is not as bright and colorful, this one is definitely approve for summer. Hope you like it ;).

To Be Alive Collection Launch at Illamasqua Takashimaya

Last Saturday I was able to attend the launch of "To Be Alive" collection at Illamasqua Takashimaya. It was indeed special for me because it was my first time attending such event. Big shout out and thanks to Clozette family and of course Ms. Lystra for the invite.

To Be Alive collection consists of items primarily in different shades of blue. Though the collection also features different colours of lipstick and contour sticks. The lipstick in cobalt blue is the most noticeable item in the collection for me. It is a shocking blue and I think I need to gather all of my strength and courage to be able to wear it. Part of the collection is the eyeshadow palette which has three powder and one cream which I think is  very wearable. My favourite item from the collection is the shiny lipgloss which can be worn alone or with your lipstick. It gives dimension and depth because of the light reflecting technology.

During the event we were able to witness and learn from celebrity makeup artist Mr. Larry Yeo on how to embrace the collection. He showed us that there is nothing to be afraid of in trying this colour. Actually he is already leading by example since he was sporting a smoky eye using the eyeshadow pallete.

Aside from the live make up tutorial I was able to enjoy the event by taking pictures of various Illamasqua products and day dreaming that I could have all of their products. But, then I have to pull myself back to reality. So I just got foundation, brush and a eyebrow powder. After spending $120+ I was able to acquire 6 lipsticks for free as part of their promotions, which is a pretty good deal. I was already happy with the freebies but my happiness was brought to the next level when I won the lucky draw. I was one of the 4 lucky girls who received $300 worth of Illamasqua products. Up until now I'm still happy because it was my first time to have won on a lucky draw in my entire life :D. I just wish I could use  these products well and justify their worth. It is because I am really a newbie when it comes to make up and I always mess up when applying anything even my lipstick or my eyeliner. Wish me luck gurls and hope you like this post. xoxo

Travel Diary : Bangkok Day 1

I've never been to Bangkok but I always wanted to go. Its been several times that I've asked my friends to go with me however, due to conflict on our schedules the plans we have always fail. This time without much planning nor research I booked flights to BKK. And obviously if my friends don't want to go the default travel buddy I have would be my boyfriend.

I was amazed at BKK airport's structure that we spent some 5 minutes just staring at the ceiling. After the immigration checks we got our milk tea because we were so dehydrated and we need small change to buy our train tickets. We took train from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Makkasan then Petchaburri to Asok and finally Asok to Ploenchit after that we walked under the super hot sun. The train journey was not that good maybe because its our first time and we carry our luggages. The 10 minutes walk to our hotel was the worst since it was around lunch and we were melting like ice cream. We arrived 2 hours earlier than the check-in time hence, we decided to have our brunch first.

We walked again under the sun and Bangkok summer heat is already killing us. Good thing though that we have Central Embassy mall nearby. We had our brunch at Mini Bar and again it was a bad experience since they did not got our orders properly. I ordered a savoury waffle but I got the sweet one instead, boyfie ordered American Doria but it was served only after 35 minutes. The interior and the ambience of the place was pretty great but their service is not good. I think the reason was due to communication barrier but I was expecting that the staffs were more tourist friendly and fluent in English.

To let the bad vibes go away we went window shopping and just adored the minimalist architecture of Central Embassy.

We headed back to the hotel to freshen up and to get our energy back. Since we were kinda drained from traveling we just decided to explore the nearby area.

It was the best decision of the day that we strolled around Chit Lom BTS because there was a food and shopping bazaar going on in front of a mall. You'll see the reason why :D if you're hungry please don't scroll down. I just love street food and Bangkok has a lot to offer so its heaven for me

Aside from food, I was delighted with the shopping part. I was not able to take many pictures inside Platinum mall because most of the shops are already closed when we came and did not like the stuffs I saw. Here is my attempt to share some my BKK shopping experience.

Our Day 1 started bad but it ended the way we like it. We headed back to our hotel around 8:30 PM and munch on some more street food for dinner. Hope you like this lengthy post :) xoxo
